In addition to my academic activities, I advise and support institutes, projects and individuals, and I initiate projects.

- conservation and revitalization of train stations in Indonesia for PT. Kereta Api;
- 'Ghost Track', a collaborative Dutch-Indonesian dance production by LeineRoebana;
- Neel Korteweg’s solo exhibition ‘Facing Fools’ in Jakarta;
- the foreign studios extra programme of the Netherlands Foundation for Visual Arts, Design and Architecture;
- architectural historical advise for ITZ-Architecten;
- an international student workshop for Docomomo;
- a collaborative project on new media and culture in Indonesia initiated by Waag Society, Common Room, and House of Natural Fiber;
- a study tour to Jakarta and Bandung for the Royal Institute of Engineers;
- a documentary on Surabaya’s colonial built heritage by Stichting Full Moon;
- a PUM expert mission to Yogyakarta;
- a study tour of Pusat Dokumentasi Arsitektur Indonesia to the Netherlands for Passchier Architects and Consultants;
- a study on infrastructure in Jakarta for Stichting Langzame Stad;
- an exhibition on Nagele;
- several study tours through Europe for the European Orientation Centre.
